Entry Fourteen: The Overuse of Papyrus Font

Papyrus is one of the most easily recognized fonts.  Sure, the crackled lettering is attractive and the structure is easy to read.  However, its use in advertising is unimaginative and, frankly, boring.  When a font such as Papyrus is used so frequently, it tends to feel "cheap."  Such unique fonts should be used sparingly, if at all.  I feel that lettering that is fresh, interesting, creative, and original would be much more effective.

I wasn't able to find an example at this time (although I see it quite frequently ordinarily) so this example is from online, http://dexb.net/img2/font.jpg
